While backpacking the wilderness trails of Isle Royale, share the spectacular views of Lake Superior, tranquil beach walks, a chance to see moose in their natural habitat, and stories of wild places with friends around the campfire. Investigate society’s evolving views of wilderness through its depiction by artists, writers and ecologists. Campers create a personal piece of art or writing that represents their current environmental and wilderness ethic. Earn college (2 semester credits) or high school credit (1 semester course).
