Is your family looking for a way to experience the Boundary Waters or Apostle Islands, but you don’t know where to start? Our Wolf Ridge naturalist guides handle the pre-trip planning and ensure your on-trail experience combines outdoor adventure with plenty of time for relaxation.

Five-Day Boundary Waters Canoe Area Guided Trip
The 1+ million-acre Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) is America’s premier canoe destination. Just down the road from Wolf Ridge, it’s is also one of the most accessible wilderness areas in the United States. Now you can explore the natural and cultural wonders of this spectacular wilderness with your family or group of friends and a Wolf Ridge naturalist as your guide and outfitter.
We’ll provide the permits, transportation to the wilderness, food, group equipment, and more. As you paddle into the BWCAW together, we’ll teach you how to have a safe and fun canoe-camping adventure.
Must be five years or older.

Five-Day Apostle Islands Kayak Guided Trip
The Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is an archipelago of 22 islands surrounding the northern tip of Wisconsin’s Bayfield Peninsula. Combine the adventure of exploring Lake Superior by kayak while learning about the remarkable natural and cultural history of the Apostle Islands.
Your naturalist/guide will meet your family or group of friends at Little Sands Bay near Bayfield, Wisconsin. You’ll learn how to kayak, and then use those skills to explore sea caves, lighthouses, and discover beaches, where you’ll set up camp and sleep under the stars.
Must be 12 years or older.
