Ready to explore Lake Superior’s rugged North Shore by sea kayak but want to build your skills and confidence first? This week-long adventure blends instruction, hands-on experience, and unforgettable paddling along one of the most stunning coastlines in the world.

We’ll begin with a full day on a calm inland lake, focusing on fundamental sea kayaking skills, safety practices, and essential gear. Once you’re feeling comfortable on the water, we’ll pack up and head out onto Lake Superior for a multi-day paddle and camping journey. Along the way, you’ll practice real-world decision making, navigation, and paddling techniques while developing the confidence to explore open water safely.

Each day offers opportunities to refine your skills—from reading waves and weather to improving boat control—all while camping at scenic water-access-only sites along the shoreline.
