Entering grades 10-12: Spend two weeks paddling and camping in the Boundary Waters learning core naturalist concepts. Transportation from the Twin Cities and Duluth is available.
Have you been dreaming of exploring the pristine waters and breathtaking landscapes of the Boundary Waters but feel unsure where to start? This introductory course is designed just for you! Join fellow adventurers as you learn the essential skills, techniques, and gear needed for various styles of Boundary Waters trips, followed by hands-on practice in the Wilderness itself.
Entering grades 4-5 - Multiple weeks of this camp are available. Designed for younger, first-time campers. Enjoy learning and building friendships in a nurturing, fun environment. Transportation from the Twin Cities and Duluth available.

From mastering the basics of rock climbing to gearing up for a multi-day canoe trip, Rocks, Paddles, and Trails Camp offers a well-rounded experience for young explorers. Campers will start by learning essential climbing techniques, knot-tying, and anchor-building on our indoor wall. Once they’ve mastered the basics, they’ll put their skills to the test on the rugged cliffs of Mystical Mountain, overlooking the stunning Wolf Lake.
Entering Grades 10-12: Hike for 6 days and 5 nights along the Superior Hiking Trail and learn about outdoor recreation from Wolf Ridge’s resident Leave-No-Trace Master Educator.
Visitors can observe these beautiful birds up close and learn about the banding process and bird research.
