Adult Programming

Spend a week with the Wolf Ridge Teacher Training Institute and fully immerse yourself in the practices of a naturalist. This hands-on summer workshop invites educators to study watersheds, participate in bird banding, explore Lake Superior’s shoreline, and develop foundational outdoor pedagogy skills. Through nature journaling and experiential learning, participants gain tools to transform their approach to outdoor education. No prior experience is required, and family-friendly options make it possible to extend the adventure beyond the classroom.

Experience winter learning at its best with the Wolf Ridge Teacher Training Institute’s Winter Weekend Workshop. Learn to co-teach with winter, strengthen your naturalist skills, and gain practical strategies for engaging students outdoors in cold weather. Ideal for both new and experienced educators. Family activities are available throughout the weekend—call after registering if you plan to bring additional family members.
