Have you ever wondered why some wood turns blue when it rots? Or where all the dead leaves go after each autumn? Or what the moldy cheese in the back corner of your fridge drawer has to do with climate change?
In this workshop we will zoom in and focus on practicing plant identification skills. We will also zoom out and discuss the relationship between these plants and their environment. We will encounter many fascinating plants, some of them carnivorous, some of them mere inches tall at maturity, some with strikingly beautiful flowers, some of them are some of the rarest plants in the state!
Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) women's weekend workshops are the best place for women (and girls age 14 and up with a guardian) new to the outdoors to begin their journey to learn outdoor skills.
