Have you been dreaming of exploring the pristine waters and breathtaking landscapes of the Boundary Waters but feel unsure where to start? This introductory course is designed just for you! Join fellow adventurers as you learn the essential skills, techniques, and gear needed for various styles of Boundary Waters trips, followed by hands-on practice in the Wilderness itself.
From mastering the basics of rock climbing to gearing up for a multi-day canoe trip, Rocks, Paddles, and Trails Camp offers a well-rounded experience for young explorers. Campers will start by learning essential climbing techniques, knot-tying, and anchor-building on our indoor wall. Once they’ve mastered the basics, they’ll put their skills to the test on the rugged cliffs of Mystical Mountain, overlooking the stunning Wolf Lake.
Entering Grades 10-12: Hike for 6 days and 5 nights along the Superior Hiking Trail and learn about outdoor recreation from Wolf Ridge’s resident Leave-No-Trace Master Educator.
Entering grades 6-7: Join us for a week of adventure, growth, and fun during this camp designed to foster confidence and leadership in young women. Transportation from the Twin Cities and Duluth is available.
Entering grades 4-5 | Fuel your child’s curiosity with an exciting adventure into the world of cryptozoology! In this brand-new camp, campers will explore the science behind legendary creatures like Bigfoot, Mothman, the Loch Ness Monster, and the Chupacabra. Each day focuses on a new cryptid, blending fascinating folklore with real-life animal adaptations that may have inspired these myths.
Entering grades 8-9: Build your survival skills and test your knowledge with overnight survival camp? Transportation from Twin Cities and Duluth available.
Entering grades 8-9: This camp is a great fit for campers looking to experience both the fun and energy of Wolf Ridge summer camp and the adventure of backpacking across Isle Royale National Park. Transportation from the Twin Cities and Duluth is available.
Spend a week exploring the boreal forest near Wolf Ridge, then paddle canoes north into the ancient waters of Quetico Provincial Park. Transportation from the Twin Cities and Duluth is available.
