Join us for a hands-on, overnight sea kayaking adventure on Lake Superior’s North Shore. Learn paddling techniques, essential safety gear, and trip planning while practicing skills on the water and camping along the shore. Perfect for beginners looking to gain confidence and experience.
Wolf Ridge’s Adventurers Camp, campers explore the outdoors through canoeing, nature study, and teamwork—gaining confidence and lasting memories.
Survival Camp at Wolf Ridge immerses campers in grades 6–7 in thrilling hands-on wilderness adventures right on our 2,000-acre campus. Campers build shelters, navigate with orienteering skills, canoe across scenic waters, and tackle challenges that boost confidence, teamwork, and outdoor skills.
Wildlife Camp at Wolf Ridge immerses grades 4-5 campers in nature. Discover new animals each day, enjoy, swimming, and ropes courses, and create lasting memories.
Ornithology Field Camp at Wolf Ridge immerses grades 9-12 campers in advanced birding techniques, field research, and outdoor adventures while connecting with nature and peers.
Campers will expand their outdoor skills, hike the Superior Trail, tackle the Adventure Ropes course, enjoy swimming, and build friendships in a safe, adventurous environment.
Discoverers Camp is the perfect introduction to Wolf Ridge! First-time campers build confidence, independence, and outdoor skills while enjoying hiking, swimming, ropes courses, and hands-on nature adventures.
Since 1993, Wolf Ridge has hosted a long-term international study of migratory songbirds. Visitors can watch the banding process, learn about bird research, and observe these beautiful birds up close. Sessions are held on summer mornings at the Forest Ecology Building, free and open to all ages. Banding is canceled on rainy days.
