New discoveries. Deeper questions. Greater Independence.

High school is a time to explore new ideas, take on challenges, and discover new possibilities. At Wolf Ridge, students learn through hands-on experiences in the natural world that build knowledge, confidence, collaboration, and leadership.

Whether it’s their first visit or their next Wolf Ridge experience, students have room to grow.

Learning That Grows With Them

High school students are ready to ask deeper questions, take greater responsibility, and explore more complex challenges. Wolf Ridge provides a setting where they can put classroom learning into practice through investigation, exploration, and collaboration.

At Wolf Ridge, learning comes to life through experiences that challenge students to think, connect, and grow.

Investigate.

Explore ecosystems, ask questions, gather evidence, and think critically about the natural world.

Take ownership.

Make decisions, work through challenges, and become active participants in learning.

Lead together.

Strengthen communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Every Student Has Room to Grow

Students arrive at Wolf Ridge with different experiences, interests, and questions. High school Outdoor School meets them where they are and gives them opportunities to learn in new ways.

A first Wolf Ridge experience can spark discovery.

A next experience can deepen it.

Wherever students begin, the experience can evolve as they grow.

For First-Time visitors

Discover the natural world in new ways. Connect classroom learning to real places and experiences, build confidence through challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of the environment and their place in it.

For Returning Students

Build on earlier discoveries. Explore familiar landscapes through a new lens, engage in deeper investigation, take greater ownership, and discover new opportunities for leadership.

Every Student Deserves the Opportunity

Cost and transportation shouldn’t stand in the way of outdoor learning. More than $800,000 in support is available for the 2026–27 school year to help make Outdoor School possible through scholarships, transportation assistance, and teacher stipends.

Funding is limited. Schools are encouraged to inquire about dates and available support as early as possible.

Their Next Chapter Starts Here.

A first experience can spark discovery. A next experience can deepen it. Both can lead to growth.
