Welcome to Wolf Ridge: Our 2,000-Acre Classroom on the North Shore of Lake Superior
Founded in 1971, Wolf Ridge began at a former Job Corps facility in Isabella, Minnesota, before moving to its current location in Finland, Minnesota, in 1988.
Nestled on a high ridge with sweeping views of Lake Superior, our campus is bordered by the Baptism River and boasts creeks, two lakes, two high peaks, and 18 miles of hiking and skiing trails. Experience nature up close as you explore the forested landscapes and stunning vistas of the Sawmill Valley.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include:
- Four classroom buildings
- Two dormitories, including the Margaret A. Cargill Lodge—the first renovation in the world to achieve Living Building certification
- A cafeteria serving fresh food grown on our organic farm
- A raptor aviary, two auditoriums, two indoor rock-climbing walls, and two outdoor ropes courses
At Wolf Ridge, every corner of our campus is a classroom, offering immersive learning experiences surrounded by the beauty of nature.
