M.Ed., Environmental Education, University of Minnesota Duluth
B.A., Environmental Studies, Gustavus Adolphus College
Rebecca has more than 25 years designing and delivering experiential programs for youth primarily focused on environmental and science education in schools, non-formal settings, and nature areas. She has carried her lifelong love and nature and outdoor pursuits hiking the superior trail, kayaking Lake Superior and canoeing the Boundary Waters into a career focused on engaging young people as environmental leaders and scientists. Becky holds a master’s degree in environmental education from the University of Minnesota Duluth and bachelor’s in environmental studies from Gustavus Adolphus College, and recently retired from her role as an Extension educator in Youth Development with the University of Minnesota to rejoin Wolf Ridge as Program Director. Becky began her professional journey at Wolf Ridge as a professional intern/graduate naturalist. She enjoys exploring the north shore with her spouse, Nate (also a Wolf Ridge grad ‘96-97) and their three sons (ages 18, 15, & 15). She also invests time training to run half marathons, gardening, cheering for their boys at soccer games and ski races, along with reading.
