Jennifer Neimi
Trustee
Jennifer brings a Master of Education in Environmental Ed from UMD as well as Doctorate of Education (May 2025) with her dissertation topic focused on Wolf Ridge. She taught at the college level at St. Scholastica where she directed the Native American Studies department. Currently, Jennifer works for the Minnesota Historical Society as the Native American Products Buyer and gets to work with amazing artists from around MN. Having missed her own 6th grade Wolf Ridge experience, she made up for it with numerous visits to the Ojibwe Language immersion camp. She joined the Wolf Ridge Board in 2022.
Jennifer lives in Two Harbors with her partner, Wade, their two sons, two neurotic cats, and lots of “outside” gray squirrels. She loves to camp (especially with her family on their land between Babbitt and Ely) and travel. Recent destinations include Finland, Iceland (see photo), Ireland, and Vietnam. Outside board experiences include Co-chair, Minnesota Teacher of the Year; Executive Board Member, Lake County Historical Society.
