Join us in a LIVE video call to experience and learn more about birds from local and national experts.

Each summer the forests at Wolf Ridge fill with songbirds, and we incorporate bird banding research in many of our summer youth camps and adult workshops.

Advanced Bird Banding – Aging Birds

Join Danielle Kaschube from The Institute for Bird Populations, and Peter Harris from Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in an interactive video call. This is a more specialized session for people who already have a working knowledge of bird banding, though all are welcome to join and learn. Danielle and Peter will include details on how they use molt limits to age birds. Interactive sessions on Zoom cost $18 per household; you’ll receive the link to join prior to the event.

  • Please register by 3 pm Central Time the day before to ensure you receive the Zoom link.
  • To participate fully you’ll need a device like a phone, laptop, or computer with a camera and microphone that’s connected to the internet.
  • If we have to cancel due to rain or low enrollment we’ll offer refunds.
  • Your session/s will be recorded and sent to you after the event.
