For animal lovers entering grades 6 – 7
Do you love wildlife? Have you dreamed of working with animals someday? Learn about different kinds of Minnesota wildlife and their habitats. Help with our on-going animal research projects, such as radio tracking, trail cameras, study plots, and bird banding. Help take care of our education animals including feeding, training, and cleaning. Get to know more about local wildlife through outdoor activities, games, and crafts. You will get up close and personal with animals in this summer camp.
Campers will discover and explore wildlife through animal tracking, bird banding, and checking out wildlife research techniques. They’ll study Northern Minnesota wildlife ecology while paddling a canoe our hiking with a map and compass to guide the way.
Participants will feel the pride of taking on the responsibility of caring for animals, meet demanding personal challenges, and grow as a person and a leader through activities such as rock climbing and our adventure ropes courses!
It’s easy to make new lifelong friends when you have all-camp games to play and end the day with a campfire and s’mores. Many campers return again and again!
Campers will be able to express themselves and their own individual artistic tastes through traditional crafts & skills and our own choose your own adventure day, a day in which your camper will be able to choose their own path and activities for the day.
