By Peter Smerud, Wolf Ridge Executive Director Wolf Ridge is an Adventure In Learning that has been changing people’s lives for over 40 years. This year, We have been working to more effectively convey the impact and value of the Wolf Ridge experience. We believe it is very important that we keep our message relevant to the children, teachers and parents who experience Wolf Ridge, so we decided it was time for a new look and feel. We are proud to unveil our completely new website! We want to invite you into the Wolf Ridge experience through its pages. We have pared down and better organized the information to share a clearer picture of Wolf Ridge. The site is full of new and powerful imagery, combined with text that conveys the essence of the learning on our 2000 acre campus overlooking Lake Superior. The new design is also simpler, mobile device friendly and easier to navigate so that you can find what you need faster. Haberman Modern Storytellers, a Twin Cities based marketing firm that “tells the stories of pioneers who are making a difference in the world”, helped us create the new website that will reconnect our existing community and invite more people to visit Wolf Ridge and participate in our programs. With the generous support of the Margaret A. Cargill Foundation we will use this and other new tools to provide more environmental learning opportunities for children and families in our camp programs. The new logo you see on the blog masthead is one example, with an updated wolf track that captures our energy for the future. Behind the new logo and website, you will still find the same dedicated and passionate people that drive this organization as we collectively develop a citizenry that has the knowledge, skills, commitment, and motivation to work together for a quality environment. To quote Haberman, “A good story can change the world”; please visit our new web site, see how our story is brought to life, and witness what happens at Wolf Ridge that does indeed change the world. www.wolf-ridge.org
