Winter Adult Weekend: Snowshoeing and Tracking

March 22, 2024 - March 24, 2024

$390
snowshoe hare tracks in the snow

Spend a glorious winter weekend at Wolf Ridge and expect a weekend of laughter, learning and beauty.

Workshops take place on the Wolf Ridge campus and surrounding areas, with lodging and meals provided. Whether you’re a seasoned naturalist or just a curious learner, the experience is designed for lifelong learners who have a passion for the natural world. Participants select a single workshop for the weekend but will have an opportunity to connect with other workshop groups during meals and evening programming.

Workshop: Cross Country Skiing

Join a seasoned Wolf Ridge Naturalist to learn about and partake in one of the oldest ways to travel over the snow. Explore the history and traditions of snowshoeing as you traverse around the North Shore. Try your hand at animal tracking and learning how the animals of the boreal forest survive the harsh winters. Find out what to look for in a track and how to identify various tracks all while leaving behind your own unique set.

You are welcome to bring your own snowshoes, but we will provide any necessary equipment.
