2-Week Jr. Naturalist Quetico Canoe Activities

Explore Canada’s Quetico Canoe Area plus experience traditional camp activities

Spend the first week exploring the natural history of the boreal forests near Wolf Ridge and high adventure activities like outdoor rock climbing, then paddle canoes north into the ancient waters of Quetico Provincial Park. This fun and challenging 8-day trip takes us deep into the heart of Canada’s premiere canoe wilderness. The group will spend the first day traveling through the Boundary Waters to the Canadian border, then will cross into the Quetico and spend the rest of the time-traveling across the lakes and forests of the park. A valid US passport book or card is required for this trip.

Learn canoeing and Leave No Trace camping skills

Designed to introduce campers to the world of paddling a canoe and water navigation, campers will explore an average of 5-8 miles a day in the Quetico and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Campers learn how and what to pack, how to choose and set up camp, and cook delicious meals outdoors. No prior wilderness trip experience is required, but canoe travel requires extra physical and mental grit, so come prepared to work and play hard!  What to expect on a canoe trip.
