Wolf Ridge is home to a number of owls, hawks, falcons, and a raven. They are non-releasable, rehabilitated birds that are no longer able to live in the wild. During the Raptor program, students will meet the birds and learn the ecology and fascinating biology of these magnificent winged animals that fly above the ridges along Lake Superior.

Outcomes

Upon completion of the Raptor evening program students will be able to:

  • Identify the three basic raptor characteristics: great eyesight, talons, and a sharp curved beak.
  • Understand raptor adaptations, predator-prey interactions and human effects on wildlife
