The public holds many misconceptions concerning bats.  This entertaining  evening presentation features amazing images and stories of some of the 1000 bat species found worldwide.  General characteristics along with specific behaviors will be discussed. The seven species of Minnesota bats will be highlighted.  Students will come away with increased awareness and respect for the role of bats in our ecosystems.


Upon completion of the Bats evening program, students will be able to:

  • Separate fact from fiction regarding bat behavior.
  • Describe how bat species are becoming endangered.
  • Identify ways to help insure diverse and healthy bat populations.
