Blood Moon

During the wee hours of Wednesday morning, some of us here at Wolf Ridge decided to brave the wind and cold to get a peek at the lunar eclipse that occurred. A lunar eclipse is when the sun, earth and moon all align so that the earth casts a shadow across the moon. During a lunar eclipse the moon is sometimes described as a blood moon because of the red glow it gets as the earth’s shadow moves across it. The next lunar eclipse will be on April 4, 2015. Mark the date in your calendar and be sure to check it out!
