Bring your family to Wolf Ridge this year! We offer a variety of week and weekend options throughout the seasons.

Family Vacations

Summer 2008
July 21 - 26

Our family vacations offer activities each day for both family groups and groups of children and adults. Separate adult and child classes take place in the morning. Explorers, 3-6 years old, spend mornings with a naturalist who has both experience and a great love of working with young children. Older children spend time with a Wolf Ridge naturalist exploring and learning about the natural world. Adults can spend a quiet morning relaxing or participating in natural history classes of their own.

Afternoons are spent with family groups. Possible activities include Adventure Ropes, rock climbing, beginning orienteering, Ojibwe heritage, and voyageur life. Classes take place outside and are engaging for people of all ages. All instructors are experienced teachers and naturalists.

Evenings, you will find yourself choosing between interesting options such as star lab, astronomy, block printing, canoeing, or games.

Other highlights of your week at Wolf Ridge are the variety show, welcome games, a campfire, and a family folk dance. Fun!

Your family will be housed in a private room in our family-friendly East Dorm. Each room has a private shower and bunk beds. We will provide an open day room for games and relaxation, a nightly snack, linens, and meals in our cafeteria style dining hall.

See list of potential activity descriptions.
