Do you wear socks with sandals? Find out what Hannah and Rosie think about it in this week’s NAT CHAT!

Favorite thing about being a Naturalist?

Being able to go outside all the time and hang out with kids all day (and all the animals too!)

Socks and sandals, thoughts?

LOVE THEM BOTH SEPARETELY AND TOGETHER. I am wearing them right now! They are my go to footwear.

What is your best animal impression? Can you write it out for us? Noises and actions included?

Crush from Finding Nemo (really sea turtles in general) 1. because I LOVE sea turtles and 2. because Finding Nemo is my FAVORITE movie. I get a nice deep voice and say “fin, noggin, duuuuuuudddeee”

Favorite class to teach at Wolf Ridge ELC?

Animal Signs! Because I get to hang out with Thistle and look for really cool animal signs like tracks and other cool stuff!

Perfect meal, any time of day, go!

Eggs benedict! I could eat that everyday for every meal (Nat I hope you read this and understand the struggles of not having cajun eggs benedict up here.)

Are you reading any good books recently?

Right now I’m reading Bill Bryson’s A Short History of Nearly Everything. He is one of the best authors I’ve had the pleasure to read from- very funny and just a great writer in general. I’ve also read his A Walk in the Woods and In a Sunburnt Country both of which are really great reads too!

Favorite thing about being a Naturalist?

Getting to learn new things about trees! Also finding out what other people love to learn about and spending time learning from them!

Socks and sandals, thoughts?

I’m still undecided. It is so comfortable but looks tacky. It depends on how cool your socks are. Some people can really pull it off.

What is your best animal impression? Can you write it out for us? Noises and actions included?

My best animal impression is a velociraptor. I make my claw (2 fingers) and run on my toes while making a gruff shrieking noise.

Favorite class to teach at Wolf Ridge ELC?

Forest Ecology!

Perfect meal, any time of day, go!

Granola with a sliced banana and almond milk.

Are you reading any good books recently?

I am working my way through the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I figured it was about time!
